My trip to Napa was one of the most magical vacations I've been on, in a while. It was short and sweet, and I honestly just didn't want to forget where I went. So, here's a little recap of my trip!

Day 1

The first day in Napa was an absolute dream!

We woke up in our Bed and Breakfast hotel, The Napa Vineyard Inn. We ate some chocolate croissants and fresh cut fruit with our coffee, and then we went off to our fist wine tasting at

The Trefethen Family Vinyard. This was the first vineyard we visited. I loved how grand it felt! They sat us on these cozy leather chairs as they told us the history of the vineyard and we sipped on the family wine.

Then we went to the Black Stallion Winery! We stood at their bar, where I tried the reds and Riker did a mix of whites and reds. My favorite was the Cabernet.

After the Black Stallion Winery, we went to the Oxbow market! Now, If you're ever in Napa, I definitely suggest going to this market! You can get just about anything there. We went to the Hog Island Oyster Bar at the market and got some oysters and clam chowder! Seriously, the best clam chowder I've ever had! After, we walked around the market and got some chocolates.

After lunch, we went to the Del Dotto historic caves and barrels. The last tasting for the day and by far my favorite experience of the whole trip! This family vineyard ages their wines in barrels in the caves. We got to walk through the caves and try some of my favorite wines straight from the barrel. They have a few locations but the historic one is their first location. This is also one of the first wineries in Napa!

Then, we went back to our hotel and took a nap before we went to dinner.

Dinner was at the R+D kitchen. I got the Thai noodle salad and It was absolutely amazing!

Day 2

We woke up to the beautiful sound of rain...freshly baked goods were delivered to our room again, and we sipped on some coffee as we decided what to do for the day!

The first winery we went to was the Castillo di Amarosa. This castle was built only 12 years ago!!! It' so crazy because it feels like it's been there for centuries. This massive castle is where they make all their wines. We went on the tour and got to go down into their caves and try some of their wines from the barrel. This is a must if you're in Napa.

Then, we went to Prisoner wine company. Me and Riker absolutely love Prisoner wine, so we were really looking forward to trying some of their wines! This place was completely different then anywhere else we went on our trip. The building and artwork here was more modern. I loved this wine tasting because, one, the wine was amazing and two, they give you a fun cheese dip and cracker plate, that paired so amazing with all the wines. Then, they finished it off with a piece of chocolate! My favorite wine was called Syndrome.

After that, we went back to our hotel and took a little nap! When we woke up, we went to dinner at this place called Compline. We had some of the best food paired with amazing wine here! Everything here is made to go well with the wines that they serve!

So, even though it was such a quick trip, we had the best time! I cant wait to go back!!

Let me know if you have any suggestions for the next time we go!

xx
